WHAT IS COOKIBODS?
We deliver cooking classes & fun parties exclusively designed for children.
Designed & developed by: -
Sian Quinn, Early Years Teacher & founder of Holibods
Helen Pritchard, a qualified Chef & Home Economist
We are also mothers of at time fussy kids!
The concept was born from their shared belief in the importance of children learning cooking skills & exploring new ingredients from an early age.
Each month a new theme encourages kids to:
- learn about healthy eating & food awareness
- helps build confidence & encourages independence in an educational & fun way
THE AIM:
To get children interested in the food they eat whilst giving them the opportunity to meet new friends & have FUN.
Parents & carers help their children create easy-to-make recipes. They will be given the opportunity to explore the raw ingredients & enjoy other activities related to the month’s topic.
When the food is ready the children taste their dishes.
Different recipes give a chance to explore their senses & express creativity, & they even get to take home what they have made.
Sessions end with music &action songs to get children moving to encourage a healthy lifestyle.
COOKING IS A PASSION!
Food choices made by young children will affect the way they eat for the rest of their lives.
At Cookibods we believe that getting children involved in all stages of food preparation encourages them to taste & enjoy new & healthy foods - as well as providing them with invaluable life skills!
Research has shown that even the fussiest eater can be encouraged to try new foods that they have helped to prepare themselves
